Chrislin Maureen - Baby #4 Due January 4, 2004 Born December 29, 2003

June 2003 Ultrasound about 8.5 weeks 12 Week Ultrasound

Birth Story

Mark and I went in for my Induction because we (my OB Dr. and myself) believed this baby would be very big and the major problems with sciatica that I couldn't walk with. We got to the hospital at 7:45 AM to be there for 8 AM. Checked at 8 AM by OB and was 2 1/2 cm dilated, 50% effaced, and at +1 station. Given pitcoin after check, around 9:30 AM or so OB Came in to rupture membranes, I was at 3 1/2 cm, had slight mec staining, but not allot. Around 11:30 AM or so, contractions were getting harder and really tried to breath thru them, about half hour later I asked to have the Epidural. About a 1/2 hour later or so I was at about 5 to 6 cm. Epidural didn't take 1st or 2nd time, he kept getting it into blood vessels. But I didn't develop a spinal headache this time around (Thank God) I did with my 2nd son and that was awful going in for the bloodpatches. During one of the tries though, he did manage to give me something to help ease the contractions while he got in the good one and it took into affect. Went from a 5-6 to a 10 in about an hour and half or so, she was on the way and coming fast. Head right there around 1:45 PM and feeling pressure, they called for my OB to get in there. Poor nurses LOL, I had 3 of them that day, 1 was the head nurse who was overseeing the other two who were training as well. It was great. But one of them had just gone to lunch not too long before I was going to start to push so they asked her if she wanted to come back in, so she did, then I had the OB and 4 nurses in there because another nurse wanted to be there as well. I pushed her out after about 9 pushes. I really know what the ring of fire feels like this time. Owww. The nurses gave her a purple hat and the blanket that you see in the pictures (purple, yellow and white).

Chrislin Maureen was born at 2:05 PM on 12/29/03 weighing in at a hefty 10 lbs. 8.8 oz. and 23" long. I'm glad that we had done the induction at 39.1 weeks because I dont think I could have delivered her vaginally if she had gone another week until her due date of 1/4/04 or longer if she wanted to take her time. Her APGAR scores were 8 then 9.

She had spontaneous pneumothorax which was a small hole in her left lung which made her breath with a raspy breath. At first we thought it could be fluid in her lungs or something, but they took an X-ray on 2 different days and it looks so much better now. She still has some fast breathing episodes and some raspiness. She was also a little bit shakey as well, they tested her blood sugar and that was fine but she seems to be so much better today and we got to all go home. They said that sometimes the puncture can happen in utero. They usually don't have to do anything at all and just let it go away on its own, if it doesn't then they put 100% oxygen over the cradle.

Updates

Update: 11/17/04 - Lots more walking. She has taken up to 12 steps if not more, she is walking over to Mommy, Daddy, Gabriel, Nathan and Darius. She now weighs 23 1/2 lbs

Update: 11/14/04 - Her first time going out playing in the snow today. She didnt like it so much because she couldn't walk in it, but could crawl in it. Her little snowsuit and boots restricted her movements a bit.

Update: 11/12/04 - She has been trying to walk all over the place lately with 2 steps, then three steps, then to Mommy or Daddy, this time she took 5 steps by herself this Friday to walk to my Mom (Grammy Linda). My mom was so happy. It was so cute. My little girl is growing up. Of course she has another cold with a possible sinus infection that they are treating her with Amoxicillan for because of her history with Respiritaory Illnesses that only seem to get worse.

Update: 11/7/04 - She got her 3rd tooth this past Friday the 5th, she now has 3 of her bottom teeth. Darius lost his first over this weekend. I think he cried more then she did. She has been saying Dadda and NaNa for about a month now. Still no MaMa yet.

Update: 9/29/04 - She had her 9 month office visit yesterday and she weighed in at 22 lbs and is 30" long. She has been furniture surfing and cruising all over the place. Anything that she can use to stand up on or push up against she is on, including going up the steps to try to come after Mommy or Daddy. Her Hermangioma on her back is slowly shrinking, and the one that was by her left eyelid is almost completely gone, she still has the one on her chin though.

Update: 9/04/04 - She stood for the first time last night while I was at my Quilt Class. I got a call from Mark saying that he had such a smart little girl. She had started fussing and he turned around to ask her what was the matter this time, and in fact she was trying to get his attention with her new trick of standing up. It was the first time she did it and Mark was the first to see it. She had pushed herself up on a box of books that was in our office apparently.

Update: 8/29/04 - had gone upstairs to get ready. Chrislin was on the floor playing happily with her toys and her brothers. I had just told her brothers to put the recliner seats down on the sofa so that if she crawled under there they wouldn’t slam them down on her, and so she wouldn’t get stuck or anything underneath them either. So they did, then I went upstairs. I see my oldest, Nathan, come upstairs for something, then I hear my other son Darius say Mommy Chrislin fell. WHAT! I was thinking, she’s been trying to stand at the coffee table, I asked as I ran down the stairs where did she fall from? He said the couch. Well who put her up there? Nathan.... Argghhh.... How many times do I have to tell him Not to pick her up. She was trapped underneath one of the couch recliners (they were down before I went upstairs) she must have banged her head on the coffee table on one of the knobs, then landed on one of the toys underneath, and then ended up getting stuck underneath the recliner. It was about 12:25 PM on Friday afternoon when it happened. She was screaming so hard. I sent Nathan up to his room, I didn’t want him anywhere around her or me for a while. I was so upset with him for picking her up yet again. I keep telling him not to, because he is going to hurt her. She had a big goose-egg on her forehead with two cuts as well (no blood). Of course I called the Dr.’s office who had their answering service and they connected me to the nurse that I usually talk to from the office, she said I could wait it out and if she develops any vomiting or inconsolable crying to get her into the ER, but she said if I wanted peace of mind I could bring her in. So I brought her in to check her out. Her Dr. didn’t notice anything broken, no fluid or blood in ears, she has two slight cuts on her forehead, bruising on her forehead, and small; bruise around her left eye, she also has a small bruise on her chest. The swelling had gone down by then, I had already given her ibuprofen which the nurse suggested, and put ice on her forehead. Thankfully she has been fine since then. I just wish he would stop picking her up. I must have told him over 100 times in the past month, I'm not kidding, not to pick her up. He just doesn't listen. He actually gets angry with me.

Update: 8/14/04 - there she goes... Chrislin started to crawl on Wednesday 8/11/04 this past week. She is sick again, screaming and restless. Shes crawling around more and more every day. Like a few crawls here and there, then she'll go after her brothers toys, or the cat and its so neat watching her enjoy doing it. So she has finally started crawling at about 7 1/2 months, she is also trying to pull herself up on her crib, and in her playpen. I just hope she is feeling better soon.

Update: 7/29/04 - She had a really nasty stomach bug that started about two weeks ago or more that she got from her brother Gabriel. She was really sick with it, was on an electrolyte solution (only) for about 3 days and she still spits up every now and then. However during that time, around last Thursday the 22, she got her first tooth after almost 4 months of teething. Bottom level front. I felt something sharp in there and sure enough there was her first tooth. She loves sticking out her tongue and playing with it. She can eat two jars of stage 2 baby food in one sitting then chow down on 6 oz. of formula or more right after. It's not like we are starving her either, she drinks about 7-8 oz of formula every 3-4 hours still and eats solids 2x a day. She is already in 18-24 month clothing in most of her outfits because she is long.

She is rolling around all over the place, sitting up for long periods of time playing with her toys. Not crawling yet, but gets up on all fours and rocks, does sort of a backwards crawl which our others did before they started crawling though too.

Update: 7/08/04 - Goodness its been over 6 months already. I can't believe the time has flown by. Already over half a year. She is 29 1/2" long and weighs 19 lbs 3 oz. She is growing right along and the Dr. said she was doing great. I am so happy. She has been spitting up a bit here and there for the past few weeks. I told her Dr. about that as well, she wasn't too worried as she was gaining weight. It doesn't really seem to bother her though

She has been rolling all over the place for the past 3 days now too. She can sit up on her own for a short time. Still NO Teeth yet though. She has been teething for months now. I just wish the teeth would come out. She's just started gnawing on the teethers we got her, as opposed to her hands, feet, socks, burper cloths, or whatever else she has in her hand LOL. She loves pulling my hair or anyone elses that is around her at the time. And she loves playing with Daddy late at night when he is trying to read a book. Its so cute to watch.

Update: 5/06/04 - Went for Chrislin's checkup on 5/4/04 and she weighed in at 17 lbs. 9 oz. and 26" long. What a big girl. I started her on solids on April 25 before she turned 4 months because she was taking up to 48 oz. of formula a day and waking up at night to eat every 3 hours or so. Started her off with Rice and formula at first and she really liked it, started one time a day, then moved to two times a day on Tuesday when I started her with rice, formula and a bit of applesauce. She loved the taste of it. She did get a bit backed up with it though, so we then moved on to sweet potatoes after 3 or 4 days of being on the applesauce to make sure she wasn't allergic to it. Well my goodness she loved the sweet potatoes. She tried a little cake on that Friday night as well because we had a get together at our house for my mom, warren, sister and her kids along with our kids. Chrislin loved the cake (no frosting) and grabbed the spoon and shoved it in her mouth like she hadn't eaten in days. She loved it. She at a full jar of sweet potatoes and rice without formula (we aren't mixing in the formula anymore after the applesauce) on Tuesday before her appt., I couldn't believe how good she ate. Think she was going thru a growth spurt over the weekend. She had gone in about a week before because she was very cranky and crabby and had a fever of 100.5 so I ended up bringing her into the dr. and they said she was probably teething. She was about 16 1/2 lbs then. So she gained a lb. over the course of a week. Must have been all the formula and solids she's been eating. On Tuesday night May 4th I started her on rice and bananas. I mix it with a bit of water too to make it soupy. I don't really think she likes the sweetness of the bananas though, either that or its mixed with rice. But since I started her on the banana, I ccouldn't change the cereal to oatmeal yet because I wanted to find out if she would have an allergic reaction to the bananas. So this morning 5/6/04 Thursday, I started the bananas with oatmeal and a little bit of water and she ate them allot better. She is still a little bound up, maybe the oatmeal will help her with that though as well.
She has been rolling now for about 2 weeks from her back to her left side onto her stomach. She has just started last Friday 4/31/04 or so to hold her head up using her forearms and look around, which she hadn't done before. She has started playing in her exersaucer bouncer seat as well. She is outgrowing her Aquarium bouncy chair because she is almost at the weight max of 20 lbs.

Update: 3/18/04 - Well I'm finally back home again. I had taken Chrislin to the ER on Monday morning March 8th, she was inconsolable and didn’t want to eat much, and she had a nasty cough as well. She also had a high fever as well going up to 102.6 or somewhere around there. They sent her home saying it was viral. Well next day Tuesday the 9th I ended up calling her dr again. She wasn’t eating at all, or if she did she would throw it up from her coughing fits. Her urine was very concentrated when she actually did have a wet diaper - it looked like the orange on the Dunkin Donuts letters. Well her Dr said go to the ER to get admitted for IV fluids so around 8AM that morning we got to the hospital again. This time they gave her IV fluids. Poor little girl they couldn’t find her veins, they got it in finally after bruising her hand :( and having another person that was better at finding her veins. She had it on her inner elbow area.

They then had to bring her up to the pediatric ward where she was under close observation because her oxygen level was dipping. They checked her nasal secretions for RSV and sure enough my baby girl had developed RSV. I never thought she would get it that bad because she wasn't premature, there are no smokers in the house or wherever we go out, but my oldest must have been the factor as he had a nasty cough and fever the week before and trying to get him to stay away from her was like pulling teeth. Well they started doing Epinephrine Nebulizer treatments on her and it wasn’t helping her, so they had to put her in an oxygen tent. Let me tell you that was one of the worst experiences of my life seeing my baby girl in there and not being able to hold her because she needed the oxygen. The thing looked like the robot from "Lost in Space" with a tent attachment. Well she stayed there overnight, she still wasn’t eating.

Wednesday morning came around still not doing any better. One of the nurses came in and told one of the Respiratory Specialists that she needed a treatment sooner than the 4 hour one and they were bickering back and forth; it was amusing to watch her nurse go at it over her care. The nurse really did care about her condition and called the dr. right away as well. She told me that she was not doing well at all and at that point she could get even worse and not have enough strength to breath on her own. So my husband who was home that day watching the boys got a frantic call from me saying t get to the hospital right away because she may not make it. The Dr. got there quickly even though they had an office full of patients; they weren’t planning on coming until another 3 hours at that point. Thank GOD the dr. did get there sooner. By that time the Neo-Natalogist that had helped with Chrislin’s care the day she was born doing the overlook and everything, was in her room assessing her. I was an emotional wreck, my mom and Grampy Warren had come to visit us there, and so did her adopted Grammy as well. They told me to go and get something to eat, and just relax. Well I couldn’t eat I was a nervous wreck; my DH was on his way there with the kids, so I asked the nurses to let him know we were all down at the Cafeteria. He got there about 10 minutes later after we got downstairs and he went back up to be with her while I watched the boys. When we all got back up there, the nurse and Neo-natalogist were in tears and the dr. looked sad too. It was a very emotional time and its like no-one could console anyone.

They made the decision to send her to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, RI where she could get the care she needed. We waited for the ambulance to come transport her from Sturdy Hospital in Attleboro, MA to Hasbro Children's Hospital in RI. They got there about a half hour later with a trauma team and they some blood cultures on her and they also used a vacuum suctioning tube down her nose to get out her mucous to help her breath. Her blood had clotted before they could test it at the lab. I forgot why they said it had done that. They also put oxygen thru a nose thing instead which was helping her to be able to breathe a bit easier by getting more oxygen in her system sooner. I rode in the ambulance with her to get to Hasbro. They put a pulse socks (??) on her big toe and her oxygen was dipping to 82 some of the times and her heart rate was going up to as much as 218. They did an X-Ray over the weekend and found that she had something brewing in her lungs; she had also been spiking a fever as well. She also had a high white count in her blood, so they started her on Cefneurontin (Sp??) or something like that via her IV. Her fever was doing better and she was gradually improving after they started that. They said it wasn’t a clear case of pneumonia but they couldn’t be that sure and since the antibiotics seem to be helping her get better it was more of a coincidence that something was going on. Two moves later (they changed our room twice since we were there, they can only combine RSV patients with each other and other infections together as well) on Monday evening, we got transferred to our 3rd room. She had started eating ½ strength formula on Sunday, she didn’t want to eat up until that point, then on Monday she was eating ¾ strength formula, and on Tuesday she started eating full strength formula about 2 oz. which was more than before when she was doing ½ or ¾ strength diluted formula. The Dr.’s and nurses were very impressed and since she wasn’t wheezing much anymore and they didn’t have to do deep suctioning anymore with the tube down her nose, and she had also been off oxygen since Monday morning, she was able to just do the inhaler at home and we got to take her home during the Nor’easter here in Massachusetts. She had RSV Bronciolitis.

I am so glad that we are back home. During the time she and I were gone at the hospital (I had spent every day and night with her there and didn’t leave her side except for maybe to go to the cafeteria while my husband was with her, or go to the gift shop for her) my sons had really missed me. Gabriel. our 2 year old, actually said "I miss you" over the phone which he has never said before, he doesn’t talk very much, and Darius, our 4 year old, was so talkative on the phone as well, which he usually says hi and goodbye. So we are all home now, except DH went back to work again on Wednesday since he had taken 7 days off from work to be home with the boys and he couldn’t work from home since the Tuesday that she went into the ER to begin with we had a major disaster in the house and the Main Sewage line was destroyed by roots and sewage ended up overflowing into our house. AARRGGHH!!!!!!! The town is supposed to pay for the damages but I’ll believe it when I see the money after everything we have spent so far. We had to get a new carpet for our downstairs finished basement, and we have to still rip out the walls and may have to have the studs replaced, and the insulation may have to be replaced as well. It’s been one thing after another with us lately, and now my 2 year old has a high fever and has vomiting and diarrhea and I know Rotavirus was going around because there were a lot of cases in the hospital while we were there too. Hopefully this is it and everyone gets better soon. I can’t believe what we have gone thru this year already and it’s only mid March. When it rains it pours!

Update: 2/26/04 - Chrislin went to the Dr. today for a sick visit again. She now weighs 14 lbs. I noticed she was getting very cranky again and nothing/nobody could please her. Holding helped her for only so long. I ended up calling the Dr. yet again Wednesday and set up an appt. for her. She has fluid behind her eardrum. She has some kind of viral cold but it could turn into another ear infection again. :( I feel so badly for her. Nathan has an ear infection now as well. I know something was wrong with her when she hated her bathtime Wednesday night. She loves it usually but I must have really startled her when I put her in her baby bathtub. She goes back to see the Dr. for her 2 month check-up and shots next Tuesday so we will wait to see if her ear is better by then.

Update: 2/09/04 - Chrislin went to the Dr. today for a sick visit. She now weighs about 13 lbs 6 oz. I noticed she was getting very cranky Saturday night and Sunday nothing/nobody could please her. Holding helped her for only so long. I ended up calling the Dr. this morning and setting up an appt. for her. Sure enough she has an ear infection in her right ear. Our little girl's first ear infection. Hopefully she doesn't keep getting these. I feel so badly for her. She is a good natured baby unless there is something bothering her, or she just wants that extra attention which she usually gets promptly, but yesterday (Sunday) nothing would please her, even when I held her, she would wriggle around and start screaming. We tried the bouncy seat, the swing, the bassinet/playpen, walking her, and just trying to sit her alone on the couch propped up with pillows. They would only work for a short while then she would start in again. The Dr. had me feed her while I was there so she could get a better look at her ears. She would scream whenever the Dr. looked inside her ears before that, Chrislin does not like to be restrained (held down) so she would scream so that also made her ears red. She is so strong too so we didn't want to hurt her holding her head in place. So when I gave her a bottle, she checked her ears and sure enough she has an ear infection. She put her on Amoxicillan. I'm hoping she will be better soon. She said to give her at least 48 hours. Our oldest son, Nathan is bummed because he can't hold her cause he is sick too. On another note, she loves bath time. Doesn't scream at all, she actually smiles and likes looking around, and getting her head washed. She especially loves the massage I give her afterwards with baby lotion.

Update: 1/12/04 - Chrislin is 2 weeks old today. She has been a charmer to her older brother Nathan (6) he loves to hold her, but he and his other two brothers have been sick so I've been limiting their contact with her. He has washed his hands so much lately just to hold her hand and talk to her that his hands are getting winter dryness too. He doesn't want to get his baby sister sick. She has been stuffy and we've been using a humidifier. We've also been using the dreaded nasal squeezy thing and saline drops in her nose. Mark thinks that she hates him because every time he goes to hold her, she starts crying until he ends up bringing her over for me to calm her down again, then of course she nestles snuggly into me and stops. He wont change any of her diapers either. He feels to weird about changing a girl, he does change my other 2 year old though, but I do most of them too seeing as I am changing her anywyays.

She went for her first checkup at the Dr. last Friday and she went up to 10 lbs 9 oz. or somewhere around there. So she got her birth weight back which was down to 10 lbs 5 oz. when we left the hospital and then some. The cord came off that morning also and there is just a tiny little bit left there so I can't fully submerse her tummy yet, so she is still having sponge baths until then.

Update: 1/6/04 - Well Mark went back to work today. I went out for my first adventure without help today with Darius, Gabriel and Chrislin to get some wipes. What a fiasco LOL. We just went 10 minutes down the road to Target and Chrislin got hungry again at the time. She was very fussy last night. She woke up at 2 AM and then was up on and off for the rest of the night very restless and crabby :( So I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, the night before she was great, eating every 3-4 hours and going back to sleep after feeding her. We had switched her on Saturday to Carnation GoodStart Formula from Similac with Iron. We wanted to start her on it at the Hospital but they didn't have that, it seems to be better on their tummies for our kids than the Similac is. She was quite constipated for a few days on the Similac so that was also another reason to switch her sooner, now she is regular again. She seems to be handling it well too. She started eating 3 - 4 oz. of her bottle around Saturday as well. She has been going longer stretches for feedings except for last night it was about every 2 hours, but she is back again to every 3-4 hours today. Hopefully this will be of good things to come tonight and she will sleep better. She has a blocked tear duct in her right eye that I keep trying to massage the tear duct to start working again to get the puss like drainage to go away. All our kids had that early on in life. She has her first appointment on Friday, so we will see how much she gained and grew. She scares me allot though, sometimes she will stop breathing or start choking during a feeding then she starts catching her breath. But my those few seconds feel like endless minutes to me. The boys did that as well though too, and they scared me too.

Update: 12/31/03 - I was 39.1 weeks when I had our 4th child on 12/29/03 at 2:05 PM. Chrislin Maureen was born and weighed in at 10 lbs 8.8 oz and was 23" long. We had to buy a disposable camera that morning because I couldn't find the cords to unload the digital camera pictures that were already on it. So now we wait until they get developed but I am hoping to find the cords for the camera so that I can take pics of her and her brothers and put them up here. Nathan has been such a big brother and wants to hold Chrislin constantly.

Update: 9/08/03 - 23 weeks 2 days today, The Hyperemesis ended around 15 weeks thank goodness. On 8/20/03 we found out that we may be having a little girl this time around. I go for another ultrasound on 9/18/03 with my new OB. I had changed OB dr's because of the commute and the fact that it seemed like my dr. never really took me seriously when I asked him questions. So now I have someone allot closer to home. Maybe about 25 minutes or so away, but still allot closer than an hour or so away, especially if this baby comes during a snow storm. The new OB wants to do the ultrasound to make sure everything is progressing smoothly and to check to see if my cervix may give me Pre-term labor this time around as well. There is some kind of test now that they can do during an ultrasound to swab around the cervix to see if it comes out + for preterm labor, or - for preterm labor. It's called "fetal fibronectin". My OB said it was good for 2 weeks.

I have also finished a sweater for the baby I made out of crochet, along with a baby bonnet as well. I will have to take a picture of the set and put it up on the craft pages. I've been really keeping busy around here.

Update: 6/26/03 - 12 weeks 4 days today, I went to the Ultrasound on Monday, the little one was pushing up against their feet and jumping around spinning around and had a HB of 155 or so, before a few weeks back it was 176, I'm thinking GIRL this time. I just hope that the baby is born healthy though. I saw my OB yesterday (Wednesday). I asked him about the bleeding and he said it was probably caused by the bleed around the gestational sac. The baby looked healthy though. It is a big relief for me. Mark had taken the day off to be with me on Monday to be there for support. I am so thankful that he was there and drove me in. I was so scared though, and still pretty shaken up because I dont remember bleeding like that in prior pregnancies.

I don't know if they will be doing another ultrasound because they wanted to make sure everything was ok this week because of the meds I am taking (Wellbutrin and Effexor) for depression and Anxiety. I have been lowered on my meds because the Nausea I couldnt take all the pills so my Psych put me on a lower dose by 1/3, so that all I had to take was one of each pill instead of 3 each. My nausea and vomitting haven't gone away yet, I'm hoping they subside soon though.

Update: 6/22/03 - I went to take a shower this afternoon and had some bleeding. I'm having to go to the OB tomorrow for an Ultrasound to make sure that everything is ok. I hope that everything is ok, but it just seems like one more hurdle to get over now. I did not have any implantation bleeding during the first few weeks after conception. I do have some blood around the gestational sac. So it may be just that I'm having my implantation bleeding a wee bit late now at week 12. I will update with news as soon as I know anything.

This will be our 4th child. I want a girl, but Mark wants a boy. Either way whatever GOD blesses us with, as long as the baby is healthy that is what I mostly care about. Nathan does not want a little sister, he said that only boys are "COOL".

I found on May 12, 2003, the day after Mother's Day that I was pregnant. After being in such severe pain and not being able to walk and feeling very ill, Mark decided to stay home with me that day and bring me to the Dr.'s office. So 4 hours later after we get there and go for bloodwork and testing to find out that I'm pregnant and everything seems ok. We went in with 3 kids and came out to be expecting #4. I set up an appt. with my OB for when I was 7 weeks pregnant so that he could see me ASAP because of the pain I had. He said it was most likely caused by a cyst that burst.

Well week 8 came, I was beginning to get violently ill around Friday that week, had to get Mark to come home because I couldn't function at all. He called the Dr.'s office for me and asked them if they could suggest anything. They just said to take it easy and drink plenty of fluids. Well the weekend was the pits. I couldn't hold much of anything down. Monday came along which was Monday June 2, at this point I was 9 weeks 1 day. I called my OB dr. and told them that I was still very sick and couldn't hold anything down without it coming back up again so they told me to go into Antenatal to be put on some IV Fluids. They ended up keeping me overnight and diagnosed me with Hyperemesis (excessive morning sickness). They kept me on IV Fluids and Zofran and they finally were able to send me home Late Tuesday night, I told them I would try to hold it out without a Rx. to see how it goes. Wednesday I ended up having to call again to speak to my OB Dr. to get a Rx. for the Zofran. Ann came over to help me out with the kids and brought them over some lunch which was a big help. Especially when I was just still not myself yet. After taking the first dose of the Zofran it seems to be working so far. I still feel ucky, but I'm not gagging or getting sick as much with is truly a very good thing. This caught me off guard because I never had this this bad during the other pregnancies.

However while I was in the hospital they told me that they saw blood around the amniotic sac of the baby which was there during my first ultrasound, but they didn't seem to concerned about it. So I had talked to my OB about it and he told me that I should expect some spotting if I hadn't already done so and that it was normal. So of course if I have any spotting or bleeding I will be on the phone with them anyways. They said it was from implantation.

Right now I'm taking some meds as well. Wellbutrin for Anxiety and Effexor for Depression. I was just never taken off of the meds yet and I don't want to go into a backlash if I go off them while being pregnant since I was very bad in my 3rd pregnancy. So I'm hoping that nothing happens to the the little tike throughout the pregnancy and delivery, etc.... like what happened with Gabriel, which you can find more about on his pages with his birth story.

I am hoping to add up the ultrasound pics that I have of the baby already shortly.
